“This was our first Autism Conference. My 13 year old daughter was diagnosed at age 10 with high-functioning Autism. We have had many struggles with her from extreme depression/suicidal at age 11 to aggressive behavior just last year. I almost stopped medication totally because I felt it was not working. A couple of months ago, I tried my day is which has seemed to calm her down more. My husband, stepdad, felt like I didn’t discipline enough, but I tried to explain that I had been through many stages in her life and that discipline didn’t work well.
Since your conference, we have both gained knowledge that has helped us better understand our daughter better and understanding things we need to do to help her through. I thank you all for putting it together. The speakers each brought something new to light for us. We can’t wait until next year!“
